    Immersion Strategy
Learning Arabic is not an easy task, so the authors of asak textbook series presented various learning strategies to encourage learners practice Arabic in different situations, and through different levels. ASAK textbooks include activities and assignments that require learners to immerse among the local natives, communicate with them, and expose themselves to the language culture.
Through the Beginner levels, learners are directed to carry out some activities such as practicing the conversations they learn in the class with locals outside the classroom, and record their conversations in order to show their teachers and get feedback which help them improve. learners in the intermediate levels perform regular daily, and weekly meetings with locals to discuss the learnt topics with locals and specialists. Learners of advanced levels are directed to debate with natives several topics and issues. Thus, they use the language they learn in the classroom immediately with locals. Besides, they are required to watch various Arabic TV channels, read different newspapers and news websites to learn Arabic as natives do.
Implementing immersion strategy seems easy when learners learn Arabic face to face in the native environment. This is true, but when teaching online, teachers can overcome this problem by creative ideas such as introducing local people to their learners to meet online on a regular basis and perform the learnt conversations, discussions and debates. In teaching Arabic, the creative teacher who loves the language and the job can find solutions for different problems and contribute very much to the field.
